During the meditation, you should simultaneously:

  • Focus on the chakra.
  • Chant the mantra.
  • Visualize the symbol.

Preferably imagine the symbol inside the Focus area of the chakra. The various Kalki-meditations often begin by first sitting and relaxing deeply. Sit with your spine as erect as you comfortably can. It’s best to sit on the floor, but a chair is also OK. Become completely aware of your normal breathing (always breathe through your nose in meditation) for a couple of minutes. Be intensive and concentrated during the entire meditation. The meditation on the chakras should last for roughly 10 minutes, not more. Begin with Mooladhara chakra and chant the mantra approx. 4 times in each chakra (VANG for the first chakra). Go then (upwards) through each chakra until Sahasrara is over.

Lie then down on your back with your arms at the side of your body (Shavasana).
Become aware of your entire body and relax completely for some 5-10 minutes. It is good to do this meditation once a day, or less often if time doesn’t permit. The best time is sunrise. Sunset is also very suitable. Always meditate on an empty stomach, minimum 3-4 hours after meal.
